The Sentier national au Bas-Saint-Laurent is the longest linear hiking trail network in the Bas-Saint-Laurent tourism region. The 144 km trail stretches from Trois-Pistoles to Dégelis, crossing 10 municipalities in all. The route is divided into 12 sections, each varying in length from 8 to 15 km. Parking is provided at the start and end of each section.
From north to south, the trail follows the shores of the St. Lawrence River, the Trois-Pistoles River and the Sénescoupé River, before entering an agroforestry zone. The route then continues to the Notre-Dames Mountains, where the trail not only crosses beautiful rivers and forests, but also offers magnificent views of Lake Témiscouata.
